The Epistemist

My name is Lala Mamedov. I live in the beautiful (now that it stopped raining) Bay Area. I work on a great project – I am a Director of Technical Support for Intuit’s newest product offering, Quicken Health. Our product will help people make sense of the complex, tangled, convoluted, twisted world of healthcare finances. My job is to figure out how to support the customers who will be using the new application. Just imagine – to build a support model for a product with unknown future problems, for the unknown number of future users that will be using the system in the ways we cannot predict…how cool is that?

So apparently I felt that my life was not challenging enough, what with the 60 hrs work week plus an active seven year old with a complicated ballet, piano, gym, tennis and Russian after-school schedule and social calendar that averages three birthday parties per weekend…so here I am, staring a Ph.D. program!
